Over the past 4 decades they have seen their share of hard times, of joy and happiness, of tears, smiles and a multitude of experiences that make marriage one of the most important journeys a couple can ever take together. And their journey continues......

I have posted quite a few photos from this session - I couldn't help it. The truth is I couldn't decide which ones to show you. I was so excited when the lovely Fi from Fi Mims Photography contacted me about a family session, her work is just gorgeous and so is her family. We spent the morning giggling, cat spotting in lane ways and dreaming up other animals we might possibly see in the park. Twins Poppy & Gus, whose smiles could melt hearts, were just the most delightful 2 year olds (Fi & Tony you must be proud!) With compulsory cuddle stops and sing-a-longs it couldn't have been more perfect.

Thanks again Fi for introducing me to the Mims family and for sharing such precious time with you all.

Sophia Luna Jones

As long as I can remember, I have always collected and kept so many things from my life, that remind me of happy, important and special times. Some people may think this is hoarding, but personally I think of it as my own personal time capsule (but not the buried kind - I guess). So for many years, before I was married or even had kids; I would beg my dad not to get rid of the cradle I slept in. Another spring would pass and the gorgeous white cradle my father built would go back under the house, covered and protected until his next attempt to "pass it on" to make more room for whatever it was he needed more room for. Anyway, that cradle, my cradle, the one that my father built, that I slept in, my sister slept in, many cousins slept in - eventually found it's way to my house to keep my 2 babies safe, warm and easy to rock to sleep!!!!!!! Soooooooo, when I meet beautiful Sophia Luna I spotted a well loved cradle in the house - and my nostalgic heart kicked into overdrive. Not only did Sophia's father sleep in the cradle when he was a newborn, but so did her great grandmother. Now that is a serious family heirloom!
Sophia Luna, you are divine. And Floyd, I will be doing a whole post on you too - you are hilarious!

O is for the Oh so gorgeous Oliver who I had the pleasure of photographing a few weeks ago. On his nursery wall grows a beautiful green and purple leafed tree where owls and squirrels make the branches their home. He may be a little too young to recognise them yet, but when he does just imagine how exciting it will be for him! This shoot was special for me, as I have known Oliver's daddy for ever, and to see his new family was heart warming! I mean really, does it get any more fun than this?? I had an absolute ball on this shoot. When Mia and Lola's mum asked me if we could have the session at an old abandoned milk bar I jumped with creative joy...this was a dream come true!!! The girls were a delight, the colours were so fun, and the light was perfect. We drank milk, held on to a massive bunch of balloons (very windy afternoon) and played. Thank you so much Tammy for you're wonderful suggestion (even if it was Rosie's!!), and thank you Mia & Lola - I hope we get to play again some time! x

When I walked into this young family's home I couldn't help but fall in love with the sense of space, light and air. I was secretly really exited to shoot here, and overwhelmed by all the possibilities. Then I met Layana and fell even more in love with her. Such sweetness and cuteness and soulfulness and all the 'ness' es, AND such a natural in front of the camera! Thank you, thank you, thank you Kat and Adam for a lovely morning. Sometimes the most unexpected things can happen, which are never planned and which require a certain amount of improvisation...the past couple of weeks for me have been a computer/internet/upgrading of the system NIGHTMARE...I have felt so lost and so displaced without my mac and/or link to the cyber world...but hey, this blog post isn't about me - not entirely - it's about a gorgeous little baby boy with equally as beautiful parents who are over the moon about their little bundle of joy. I got that 'newborn' vibe again as soon as I walked into their stunning home and I fell instantly in love with 10 day old Samuel. For Eva....

These are the first photos I've taken of my gorgeous blue eyed niece Eva....and probably the most time I have ever spent with her! I know, I know...bad aunty, but time seemed to slip away so quickly and life was so busy that it has taken me until now to organise a moment to capture her. And you know what? I am so glad I waited - waited for her contagious smiles, her expressive eyes to tell me what she is thinking, her strong arms and legs to wave around for minutes as if she were swimming the 100mm breaststroke for australia, and for her to be exactly as she is as an 8 month old!!!! Sav, thank you for your patience, and Eva thank you for showing me just how beautifully spirited you are bella.

Jinky Part 2

I've decided that I am going to post some pics from the jinky workshop, once a month. Now let's hope I can actually do this!!! I am usually full of ideas with such good intention, but my delivery and time management can be a little loose. I dream up lots of projects; some I follow through with, others stay on the back burner, but I'm sure that happens to most creative types - too many ideas and just not enough time/energy. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, Jinky workshop (the most magical and bestest thing I could have ever experienced!!) There were quite a few families and siblings and gorgeousness that I photographed over the 3 day retreat, so I'll share the pics over the next 12 months (and it might get me posting more often too).

And this family totally fits the gorgeousness description!! The connection between big brother and baby sister was divine. She followed him with her eyes the whole time, and whilst he read to her, she would look back and up at him - just to make sure he was there....awwwwww.

Hope your weekend is eventful - I'm off to a pirate party - grrrrrr me hearties!!!!!

New-ness

Miss Amelia arrived just before Christmas, and her presence has brought so much joy and love to everyone around her. And with that adorable smile - (9 days old mind you!) I think she is going to be one special little girl! I wish I could bottle that 'newness' feeling; I don't know what it is, but it really puts perspective on things. One can't help but dream and wonder, and hope and smile around little angels. Dina and Matt, she is adorable and no doubt adored. She chose well.

Goodbye 2010

We spent new year's eve in the sweltering Melbourne heat, swimming in a friends pool, and watching the sun finally set on a year that will never again be. It was perfect.

Have you ever been relieved that a year has finally ended? In the past I haven't, however this year I couldn't wish it away fast enough. I say that with much guilt, as I know the older Laura will read back on this and think me a fool, but honestly 2010 has been the most challenging year of our lives (so far). My journey over the past 12 months has been a constant roller coaster of emotions, and I have had to hide it well at times, for my children's sake - and for Jimmy. It is very difficult for me to write this, but I feel like I need to in order for the year to end properly. Mental illness doesn't discriminate, and my life partner has fallen victim to it. Depression is not something that many people understand; they think it is something you can just snap out of. I wish that were the case. 1 in 5 people suffer from despression and anxiety. Majority of those people are men. I can't describe just how difficult it has been for us - and how tortured Jimmy has felt over the year. We are very lucky we have supportive family and some true friends. Not everyone knows what to do for us (at times we don't even know what to do for us), but we are just greatful that they care. Mornings are probably the most difficult time of the day, as he struggles to get out of bed and to do the most simplest of tasks. Having said that, the worst part is over for him (we hope), and he is half way up that steep climb to recovery. He takes his meds, his herbs, he meditates, and plays - and he BREATHES.

Our Christmas was amazing, and we have been doing lots of family things - just the four of us - something that hasn't happened in a long time. I've even seen him smile a few times; a REAL smile - I can't tell you just how much that warms my heart!!

Our family journey has taught me some important values and things that will carry us forward into a healthy and happy 2011.

There's such a special feeling I get when I walk into a house with a newborn. I can't tell you exactly what it is - perhaps it's the fragrant smell of fresh flowers from the hospital, the calmness of mum, the change in dad, the hint of pink (or blue) that seems to create such a beautiful energy. And in this home, that precious energy was centered around Hope - sweet little Hope. Mum and dad waited a long time for her and finally she arrived, just 9 days ago!!!

tip-toe through......

Mum and me took Maya and Nicolas to the Silvern Tulip Festival a couple of weeks ago. Last time we were there, I was Maya's age. I only remember it through the photos that mum has - so it was a special kind of day for us. We spoke to women from the weaver's association, we were entertained by a Dutch husband and wife music group, we ate Poffertjes, visited the fairy garden, watched artists painting with watercolour, enjoyed our free coffee and most importantly tip-toed through the blanket of colour created by the thousands of tulips (thanks to Nicolas, it was more like sprinting - no dainty tip-toeing from him!!!) Overall a lovely tulipy-kind-of-day.

It's hard to believe that almost a year ago I took photos of this gorgeous boy when he was a baby lying underneath the shade of a Jacaranda tree. Even then, (and everytime I see him) I can't help but love him - the sweet curls, soulful eyes and calming nature. Michael, I am so happy to be able to watch you grow and capture it all for Mummy and Grammy!

Sweet Juliette....

Juliette actually appeared in some photos a couple of months ago, before she was born - well sort of...she was there during her family's portrait session. Now it was her turn to shine - and what a bright star she is; the session was complete with numerous costume changes and props - and not once did she complain. What a delight!!!
Now she's set for a new adventure with mum, dad and big sis as they all head overseas to their second home. What wonders await you precious little girl?

Good luck with the move back Lynda & Matt. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you guys. Please have a massive gelati and pannino with prosciutto crudo for me!!!!

Archie Pants!!!!!!

One word, and one word only - ADORABLE!! You forget just how exciting life is for a 7 month old; the way their heads immediately turn to the direction of a new sound, their eyes tracking a new person or object (or big camera!), the pure delight in seeing mum and dad - and for Archie everything is pretty amazing. And those eyes...*sigh*!! Not only did I leave the session with a warm heart, but with a bunch of homegrown produce too - thanks Belinda and Chris for a lovely morning, you guys are beautiful. In french, Leroy means 'the king', and during this shoot he certainly was - he was dotted over, fed & changed and every move he made was under the eye of adoring fans (his mama and me). Cyclops...

...One man's trash is another man's treasure...and ain't it the truth? Someone was throwing out this gorgeous 'cyclops' tricycle as part of the hard rubbish collection - so I just had to have it. Afterall I'm a big recycler from way back, and I thought it would look cute in a shoot. So I tested it out with a very willing Nicolas and Maya. They pretty much gave it the thumbs up!!!

The Lighthouse and Miss Helene

When I spoke to Mama Lynda about the location for her family shoot, she mentioned the Airey's Inlet Lighthouse and how much she would like that to be included in the photos. It wasn't some random request, in fact it is more of a keepsake for her; a reminder of home. This gorgeous family live and work in Italy and have returned home to have baby number 2 (very soon!!!!!). I had a great day hanging out at the beach, having coffee and listening to the adventures of living abroad - oh, to travel again!!!!!!! And I learnt about a sextant (yep Matt, I googled it!). Thanks guys for choosing me to capture your keepsakes, and thank you miss Helene (aka Miss Curious) for keeping me on my toes - you are too adorable. I hope you enjoy this sneek peek. I had an absolute ball taking pictures of this spunky trunks...and don't you love the oversized glasses?? My fav is the second shot - his expression almost looks like an animated Bobby De Niro doing his famous monologue..."you looking at me?". Ari's mama is about to have a baby ANY DAY NOW, so she wanted to get some pics of her gorgeous munchkin before there are two of them (ohhhh I can feel a newborn session coming on!). We had so much fun laughing, playing, running...rather Ari running and me trying to keep up!!

I took some head shots for this wonderfully talented and creative man! One thing we both discovered whilst going through the proofs, is that he has a Gazillion different expressions - no two photos were alike!! It was a difficult process culling 500+ photos down to just 20!!
We had a lot of fun though, and i would do it all again!!!!

I turned up to the shoot thinking I would be able to capture Oliver asleep; I mean isn't that what newborns do all day? Sleep and drink? Well not this precious little soul. He was too interested in what was going on around him and wasn't keen on a shut eye at all! Really, there's too much to miss when you're 2 weeks old!!
He is too beautiful, don't you think? Belinda and Anthony congratulations on you're beautiful little boy. To Xavier, you lucky duck, you get to teach your brother lots of cool stuff like jumping on the bed!(sorry belle)

70's beauty

I had the absolute honor of spending the morning with adorable Matilda and her absolutely GORGEOUS mama Bree. I tried something different during this shoot, and that was to capture sunflare (not easy I tell you - well not for me); my inspiration was the vintage 70's dress that Bree was wearing - I just had to enhance the '70's mamma' feeling in these pics.

Watching Mama and bub, the long hair and dress flowing - the beautiful light - was just inspiring. Matilda was an absolute angel too - no complaints, just calmness.

Thank you so much Bree and Matilda for allowing me to witness the incredible bond and adoration you girls have for each other.

What would I do without my wonderful model Sav who is always too willing to pose for me. Even under strenuous circumstances, she manages to appear as peaceful as an angel - a pregnant angel!! This is one of many shots taken at a beautiful vineyard, 2 minutes from here, in suburbia - east keilor to be exact - amazing!!!! It's called Rose Creek Estate, and it is sooo lovely. I felt like I was in my parents village in italy; the vines, the olive groves, the yummy produce, the chooks! Stay tuned for more pics...

My father's hands

When I first saw this image I had taken, I fell in love with the brilliant red cherries and was so excited to see the splash of colour in the photo. But it wasn't until later I noticed my father's hands. His love of the land etched into each finger. The soil from his prized vegie patch embedded in his fingernails. He carries the produce of his labour with such softness and care. I'm sure he'll never read this of his own accord (the call from the garden is stronger than anything computerish}, but thanks dad for everything; for the fresh basil and tomatoes, for fixing everything that breaks, for climbing up high and for always thinking about us!!!!

This photo of gorgeous Charlotte always makes me smile. Firstly there's that contagious smile/laugh of hers, and secondly because during the shoot when I asked her what her favourite song was, she broke into a unique rendition of "single ladies" by Beyonce and started doing this amazing dance - hand movements and all!!!. The pure joy and expression on her face always makes me smile - mind you I was laughing pretty hard too at the time.

The challenge this week over at i heart faces, is title "I wanna dance". I think this image is very fitting.

waited for your film to be processed) knew that you had captured something special? Well
that's how I felt about this shot - it was the moment between mum and her little boy that

Under the shade of a Jacaranda

Back in August this beautiful baby boy was small enough to fit in a basket, and my how he has grown!! He had a peaceful play under a beautiful Jacaranda tree and seemed to enjoy the umbrella of purple flowers that hung above him. I absolutely LOVE these trees, and am reminded every November just how gorgeous they are.

How hot has it been in Melbourne? The heat is killing me! Personally I love winter, bring on the rain, hail, gail force winds...I love it! But this 2 week stretch of mid 30 temperatures is not exactly my idea of fun. Although I do admit sitting outside to eat dinner while the kids run around in nappies(or starkers) with watermelon dripping down their arms and mango stuck in their hair is quite nice. Well, here's some pics of a hot november evening. (so many more to post...I'll get there eventually)

Not only does mum have GREAT decorating style, she also has amazing hair - and I'm pretty sure that's where gorgeous little Joshua gets his from...he is toooooooo cute! My Little Frida Kahlo

From when Maya was a little baby, I would read her a fantastic picture book about the artist Frida Kahlo. The artists' story is quite sad, however, the book focuses on her family and creative inspirations...and the illustrations are beautiful!!!! Anyway...I always imagined Maya dressing up as Frida - no reason why - just because. So that's exactly what happened. Getting ready for the shoot was exciting for her, as she got to wear all my big necklaces and pretty flowers in her hair. We even included her toy monkey (a take on one of Frida's subjects). My gorgeous little Frida (minus the mono)

I had the pleasure of taking some pics of beautiful Jaime this afternoon. She is the most adorable and willing model EVER!! It pretty much rained the whole time, so lucky Grammy's house has a great veranda where we got some more gorgeous shots (I'll be posting thoses later). Meanwhile, these were taken in what use to be the library (well it was when I was growing up next door), so when I spotted these books on the downsized bookshelf I knew I had to use them. I love this photo. Maybe it's because Maya was sneaking up on her cousin after a chase around the backyard and for one split second, he forgot about the game and looked over at me with a smile. Now isn't he the most adorable newborn ever? He kept his beautiful eyes open the whole time, searching for the light, and he didn't complain once. These shots were taken when he was almost 2 weeks old. Michael is part of so many different cultures - Australian and Canadian grandparents on his mum's side, and Samoan & German on his dad's side. No wonder he is sooooooooo gorgeous!! His Grandma made the mobile that hangs above his cot - all the little canadian animals are represented! Congratulations Toots & Seona - he really is an angel.

Yes, Elvis is making another appearance on my blog, this time in his true form...and what an energetic, non-stop, keep you on your toes form that is!!! I worked up a sweat just trying to keep up with him! (I'm working on the exercise part of my well being, sort of) We had so much fun playing chasey, soccer, leaf-throwing (mum and dad had the most fun with that) and dog spotting. My ribs were hurting from all the laughter! Thanks guys for such an awesome afternoon, and for battling the cold! The Red Balloon

After seeing the photos of Maya with the balloons, my friend Carrah commented that the images remind her of the book 'The Red Balloon' by Albert Lamorisse. Having never heard of this book, I googled it (what would I do without google) and discovered some beautiful imagery from the 'the red balloon' film (the book was made into an award winning short film in 1956). It's about a young boy who is followed around Paris by a red balloon, that seems to have a mind of it's own. There's no dialogue, and the ending is...well...emotional and beautiful. I want you to watch it!!!!!

Winter's Day

There's nothing like the colour red to warm up a winter's day. I took Maya to buy some helium balloons and we put on her gorgeous jacket (thanks Nonna) and adorable hat (thanks Tia). We had a little adventure, exploring the bluestone laneway at the back of our place whilst holding on tight to our balloons. Despite the cold weather, I had fun hanging out with my little girlfriend.

Princess in the Castle

I honestly didn't think I would have a real girly girl; I almost hoped that she would be a bit tom-boyish, not overly, but enough to make me proud. The opposite seems to have happened. I have such a high maintenance princess on my hands, who decides on the days attire(No mama, I DON'T want to wear that, I want a pretty dress. Maya, you can't wear a dress today. Here wear these pants. No Mama, there not pants, there leggins. I know! What about a skirt?) and has started to call her daddy 'the handsome prince'. She is totally obsessed with Ariel the mermaid, and dresses all her dolls in make-shift tails. Her little brother has been re-named Sebastian the Crab, unless he has just woken up in his sleeping bag, then he is called the Merboy (look mama, he has a tail!) She loves brides, and their beautiful white dresses and long 'Meils' and often asks if I was 'marriaged'. Twirls are the standard kind of dancing style she performs, and Pink is the ONLY colour that exists. Oh my! How long does this princess thing last?????????

Remember Elvis on the slide? Well this was the party at which he made an appearance. I should have posted these pics over a month ago, however, it seems the past weeks have been very busy for me! Now isn't Miss 3 just gorgeous! She had a ball, especially when it was time to cut the cake, or should I say smash the cake - a pinata cake! A chocolate covered pinata cake with chocolate coins and other treasures inside. It was pretty amazing! (Ra, you've set such precedence! Can't wait to see what you make next!!!!!!!!)

Maya and her little friend Luka share something in common, apart from their age and star sign, they're both big sisters to their little brothers. And a role I am sure they will take very seriously...the protectiveness has already begun. The girls constantly remind one another of who's baby belongs to who! Back Attack

I did my back. It was bound to happen, I just kept insisting on twisting awkwardly, bending down to pick up things of the floor while juggling a 12 kilo baby in one arm and putting clothes on my 3 year old with the other, and holding the phone between my shoulder and chin all at the same time. No seriously, I did it when changing Nicolas' nappy. Now I know I think I'm a bit of a superwoman, but I've been avoiding the fact that my superhuman powers are becoming weak. Ohhhh the pain! My fantastic, wonderful, fantabulous sister-in-law(chinese medicine guru) gave me a great acupuncture treatment, and mum took the day off on friday to watch the kids - I couldn't move! Where would I be without great support! Jimmy also sacrificed a night on the town to stay home and look after moi. Thanks everyone! Well it's on to the osteo this afternoon, and I need to make a few enquiries for yoga class. My extra-human powers must be restored.

Where has the last 3 years gone? I remember holding her as a newborn, and just staring at her for hours. Then there was the crying, screaming, sleepless nights, not knowing what to do as a first time mum, wishing she would just sleep, not getting out of my pyjamas until well after lunch...and now in a way I would love to be back there savouring the moment with my beautiful little girl. Gosh, I am going to be a mess when she hits the real milestones like school, licence, car, boyfriends, travel...I wish I could bottle her now. "Mummy, do you want to see my mirth bark? It's on my knee. It's so beautiful" "OOOhhhh Mamma, I love your short hair!" "I don't want to wear the long sleeve, I want the up sleeve one!" "Nooo! Daddy's not cute, he's handsome"
Maya turned 3 yesterday, and today she wanted to be 2 again. "I'm a little girl you know"
I know sweetheart. I'm hoping you stay that way just for a while longer.

I was given the best Mother's day present today...the opportunity to sleep in until 8am. I couldn't have been happier! Jimmy gave the kiddies breakfast, got them dressed, put Nicolas down for his morning nap, meanwhile I slept. It was wonderful! They day unfolded in the usual manner - toddler tantrums, baby refusing afternoon sleep, in and out of the car, blah blah blah.....

Although I LOVE taking portrait pics, I must admit that fashion shoots are extra exciting!!!
The clothes, make-up, hair, lights, pouts....gorgeousness. These are a couple of shots I took for a melbourne designer who used them for her Look Book - you fashionistas out there will know what that's all about! I really love the photo of the red dress, hand-knitted by the way, and see that gorgeous plaid belt?...Hand woven too!!! Amazing to see close up.

community theatre - love it!!

Last night I lugged my lighting to the hall at St Martins, where the local community theatre group were having their final run through before the big tech night. I took some headshots for them, and was up until late post processing so I could send them off to my sis who is designing the program for the show...I must admit I do love working under a bit of pressure, there's not too much time to think, you just have to do. The show they're putting on is called "Stepping Out", a musical based on a tap dancing group - the original show starred Liza Minnelli. Good luck guys, break a leg, chookas! My Maya and Nicolas are soooooooo lucky, they get to experience 2 easters every year...probably not so good on their teeth and levels of hyper-activity, but nonetheless, twice the excitement, twice the kisses and hugs, and twice the traditions!!!! Speaking of which, we had an easter hunt at Nonna and Nonno's today, after we came back from Fairy Park in Mt Anakie (heaps better now then when I was a kid - still magical though). Then we ate my mum's beautiful 'Green Soup'. Maya was so excited to find colourful eggs in the garden...last year she didn't realise they were chocolate, but now there's no hiding the fact! That's it...she's made the association..oh-o. Happy Easter!!!

Last weekend we spent the afternoon at a festival put on by the local council. It was at the back of mum and dad's house, along the maribyrnong river, in the 'tea gardens' which have recently been cleaned up and improved. It is such a lovely spot - maya and her little friend jaime where so excited that they spent most of the time running around in their beautiful fairy wings (isn't it funny that? excited kids just run?!) There were bands, and storytellers, and face-painting...and even alice and the mad-hatter!! When we were growing up, the 'tea gardens' weren't the best place, full of scary myths and motorbikes(Toots, do you remember the one about the boy who slide down the big rock?)...now it is great. Mum and dad usually take maya down there to feed the ducks. Things have changed for the better.

Our bath is quite deep...but don't worry we don't fill it up, there is a drought (and if you ask any of my friends they would tell you just how water conscious I am). Anyways... this is pretty much the image I see at a distance when the munchkins are splashing around. Maya wears her bubble hat so her 'Dora' hair doesn't get soaked (she hates the hairdryer) and Nicolas is just happy to be wherever he is. How beautiful.

This morning there were four of us in bed...all of us together like this is probably my most favorite thing in the whole wide world! It doesn't take long though before the cuddles turn into suffocations, and the kisses become bites!!! Ah yes, the joys.

Sauce Making Day

We made the sauce on the weekend. Dad drove up to shepparton, and brought back lots and lots of yummy, juicy, red tomatoes. I'm sure he was up at the crack of dawn on THE DAY, getting everything ready, putting the water on to boil, making sure that the bottles were free from any tomato residue from last years batch (actually we didn't make the sauce last year - drought). I'm afraid I didn't do too much this year, just take lots of photos as usual, and look after the munchkins. I didn't even put the basil in the bottles (my usual job)! Everything was under control. Every year I take pics of this event, to preserve the process I guess. It is such a big part of the italian culture, and a great chance to spend time with the family. Maya wasn't too impressed with what was going on, and wanted to be entertained. So I put on a vinyl record, a Cinderella narration, and showed Maya how to follow the story with the attached picture book. It seems I was the only one excited to be listening to the distinct sound of vinyl, and reliving my childhood. My daughter has the attention span of a gold fish.

I had an amazing time at the Jinky workshop...so inspiring! Barb Uil is one amazing woman...so I have over a thousand photos from the weekend that I shot, and new found knowledge, but I've only Post Processed 2 pics!!!
Oh dear! I'm not going to post them yet, I need more time!!!!!!errrrrr.

However.............I've played around with a couple of shots featuring the 2 most adorable cherubs in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!! I took these tonight, after bath time, while Jimmy and I were getting them ready for bed. Maya was enjoying her usual dance in front of the mirror, and swaying her head back and forth so she could feel her newly washed hair fall around her shoulders - performer? I think so! And little Nicolas looked on and giggled!
She's great entertainment value for him.

Toothie Pegs

Before I had my second baby, I was convinced that I would document his life just as thoroughly as I did with my first born...but I don't know what happened!! Unfortunately I just don't have as many photos of Nicolas (but there are still HEAPS), nor have I taken as much movie as I did with Maya. Guilt is slowly creeping in!! However I have managed to get a shot of his toothie pegs. They are cutting through so quickly. Nicolas will be 8 months next week and he has 4 teeth with another 2 about to cut any day now. No wonder I can't get any sleep! But in my dreary state, I am still able to forget how crap I feel as soon as he smiles. What a little angel! And don't you just love the look of concentration on his face as he studies the tag on his moose puppet.

One of the few things I like about summer (i'm a winter gal) is the juicy taste of WATERMELON! And thanks to Justine Clarke, now the whole family sings about it!! I love these shots of Maya, and yes she is still wearing that pink ballerina skirt - however today it is a 'princess skirt'. Oh the joys!!
I'm so excited because next weekend I'm heading to Canberra for a photographers weekend with the most talented Barb Uil of Jinky Art fame.
